 Splinter is a 9 month old Irish Terrier puppy. He is happy, friendly, fuzzy faced boy who's looking for a new place to hang his leash.  His foster mom told us that he gets along wonderfully with other dogs when he's off leash, although he can be a bit reactive when on leash. He's wonderful with kids, and is an absolute people lover in general. He loves making new human friends of all ages, shapes and sizes. Splinter seems to be completely housetrained, and sleeps quietly in his foster parents bedroom overnight, on his own doggy bed. He mostly chews on his own bones and toys, although we've discovered he also has a fondness for shoes, fluffy pillows and greeting cards. Although he is usually quiet in the house and yard, he will alert bark if he sees someone passing by the front window, or sees people on the golf course next door. He is usually fine with quiet older cats, but will chase feisty young felines for fun. He hasn't hurt them, just seems to like the thrill of the chase but just to be on the safe side, a cat free home is preferred for Splinter. His ideal home also would have a nice fenced yard where he can burn off some of that puppy energy, and a canine buddy to play with, too. Splinter just made the long trip north in search of his new family, and we discovered that his shelter photo really doesn't do him justice, this boy is just adorable. His wiry hair coat makes him a low shedding pup, so he may be a good companion for a family where allergies are an issue. His leash manners still need a bit of work, but he does know to sit politely for treats. He's been started on clicker training, and seems to be a very smart little boy.  Please lets find him a good home!

Violet is a Golden Retrieve mix who is 1 year old.  She has a brown eye and a beautiful blue eye.  Her foster mommy found her in the rough streets of Houston covered in mud and infested with fleas. She was scared and alone but thankfully was found on time and given a second chance to live the life every dog wants and deserves.  She gets along great with all dogs and cats. She loves humans of all ages.  Loves to give kisses and snuggle.  She loves sleeping in her crate and chewing on bones. She really enjoys going for walks with my foster brother and is still trying to figure out how the leash and harness thing works. She spends a lot of time running in the backyard.  Please be patient with her as she is still learning to walk on a leash and that the only place to potty is outside or the potty pad. She is still a pup and has a lot to learn.  She sits and shakes your hand for treat. She is a sweet and beautiful girl. She promises to always love you no matter what. Please lets fine her a loving home!

No paw left behind our mission!

 {Please keep in mind a dog is lifetime commitment. They need attention, love and time just like we do. In addition, adding a pet to the family does cost money in the way of food, health care, training,etc. So before adopting make sure you are willing to make that kind of commitment and have the resources to do so.}
