Woof Wednesday

Welcome to Woof Wednesday. Please meet some great dogs from CA, NY, PA and TX all in need of good, loving homes!

Malone is a Jack Russell Terrier. He is a gorgeous boy who is 3 years old and about 14 pounds. He is very well behaved with other dogs, even liking to curl up with the other dogs in his foster mom's house when he sleeps. Malone is very affectionate and sweet with people. This handsome little fellow is very athletic but is really the best of all worlds in the breed, because of his love of people and other dogs. He will make a delightful addition to about any lucky family. Please lets find him a loving home!

Mali is a 1.5 year old female lab mix and is looking for her forever home outside of the city.She is funny, loving and like to get belly rubs and snuggles. She is very smart and learn tricks easily. Knows many basic behaviors including sit, down, leave, stay, come, wait, search and paw.She has lovely household manners and great self control around food no table or counter surfing for her. She loves to play and be chased by her doggie friends but think she might do better in a home as an only dog. She has never been around cats so not sure how she would do living with them. She loves to learn new tricks, play, go on walks, go on hikes and swim, but at the same time she is a very mellow and relaxed dog around the home. She is originally from the south and is not adjusting well to the noises in New York City. She is very afraid of all the loud noises but oves being outside of the city She would be so happy in a home in a suburban or rural area. She bonds quickly with new people, but can be shy around strangers. Please lets find her a great home!

Moxie and Tater are Chihuahua mixes. They are 8 years old, Tater is 16 lbs Molly 21 lbs. The rescue were pulling dogs from a local kill shelter in the region and found these two. It was luck and similar handwriting on cage cards that helped us figure out that these dogs in separate cages were from the same place. Tater was social at the front of the cage willing to say hello. Moxie was shut down and terrified in another cage far down the hall. We put a leash on Tater and went to Moxie's cage and from behind the bars Moxie immediately perked up, and ran to the front of the cage to see his friend. We quickly reunited them, and took them both back to PAWS. We know that their owner died, but it's the only history we have on them. Tater is the confident one, Moxie is the shy one who has a hard time being confident alone. Because they are a little older, and Moxie is so bonded, we are trying not to split them up. They are small, get along with other dogs and are not exceptionally yappy little dogs. Little kids might be a bit much for this mature pair, but otherwise they enjoy meeting strangers and exploring new places. Please lets find them a good home they can go to together!

Scout is a 8 year old Basset Hound who was adopted from Basset Buddies in 2009 and recently returned through no fault of his own. He's hoping good fortune will strike again and a loving family will scoop him up for the rest of his life. Scout is healthy, houset rained, and friendly. Oddly enough, he loves cats but will do best in a home with no other dogs. Scout is very sweet and the perfect pet for older children. Please lets find this little guy a loving home!

No paw left behind our mission!

{Please keep in mind a dog is lifetime commitment. They need attention, love and time just like we do. In addition, adding a pet to the family does cost money in the way of food, health care, training,etc. So before adopting make sure you are willing to make that kind of commitment and have the resources to do so.}
