Oreo Cheesecake Cookies

My obsession with Golden Double Stuff Oreos continues. Love to experiment with recipes containing them. This one is very light, in some ways reminds me of a butter cookie.  Highly suggest leaving the oreo pieces more chunky than crumbling them fine.

Oreo Cheesecake Cookies

2 stick of butter, softened
1 8 oz brick of cream cheese
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 1/4 cups white flour
20 Oreo cookies, broken into pieces

1. Cream together butter, cream cheese and sugar.
2. Add flour and mix well.
3. Fold in Oreo pieces.
4. Scoop 1 inch balls of dough onto prepared baking sheet.  Grease a little.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 14-16 minutes. You want edges to be slightly browned and the middle
    to be soft.
6. Let cool for 10 minutes on the cookie sheet before letting cool on rack/plate. 36 cookies.

Note: I cut recipe in half, and added a little less sugar than recipe calls for.
