 Teddy is an eight year old Spinone Italiano (Italian Pointer) mix. He is house broken and well behaved, and knows basic commands. Teddy is very gentle, laid back, and sweet. He likes hanging out inside with his humans, lying outside in sun, and going on walks. He is a healthy, lovable boy who is easy to have around, loving, and loyal. His owner has to move to an assisted living facility and is anxious to find a new home for him. At present Teddy does not live with any other dogs but is very friendly to dogs he meets on walks, so we think he'd do fine with other dogs in his new home. We do not know how he is with cats since he hasn't been around them, but we would be happy to test him. Teddy is neutered and up to date on shots. He weighs about 60 lbs.  Our Winston is a Beagle/ Labrador Retriever mix!  He is a puppy who weighs about 51 pounds, this ten month old boy seems as though he has not yet grown into his feet. He may have a bit more growing to do.
Winston was found lounging about a Good Samaritan's yard, making himself quite at home. He was brought to the city pound as a stray, and, immediately, was put on a 10 day stray hold, while shelter staff searched out his owners. Nobody claimed Winston, and by this time he had come down with Kennel Cough, and was excluded from the Shelter adoption program. We were pleased to have Winston join us, and he has been a lot of fun to foster.He has the lab shaped head, with slight jowls, but his yellowish two tone coloring and markings suggest the Lemon Beagle or Coonhound. As a mix of gun dog breeds, Winston is an energetic dog who needs a good deal of exercise and outdoor playtime. Winston would be a good family dog for active folks, with older, dog savvy kids, who are all game for the rigors of raising an energetic puppy. Winston has had no formal obedience work, but is responding nicely to the basics of Canine Good Citizenship that we have started in foster care. A solid obedience regimen and plenty of exercise are key to developing good behavior in this working breed dog.  Winston could also join the home of an active single or couple, who enjoy the challenge of puppy training. He would make a natural walking, running or hiking companion, and would be a blast to have along on camping or canoe trips. He could also join a multi-dog home, since his puppy mojo seeks out other dogs in play. He is a sociable boy, who loves to play, but we have not observed him around cats. He may be tempted to chase them for sport. Winston has good house manners and is house trained and crate trained. He has been recently neutered, so adopters should expect a few marking incidents during his transition to a new home. Winston has been vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper and bordatella. he has been microchipped and de-wormed and has tested negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis.  He is ready to find his forever family.  Please lets find him a loving home!

Parker is a Scottish Terrier has been diagnosed with Masticatory Muscle Myositis (MMM) and dry eye that requires daily medication in both eyes. His MMM diagnosis, in the simplest of terms, means his immune system recognizes certain proteins in his jaw muscles and considers them foreign. Parker has significant muscle loss on one side of his jaw, yet is able to eat dry kibble without any problem.  We do consider Parker available for adoption, as long as his new home realizes he will have ongoing medical needs. Parker found himself in animal control where he was quickly adopted by a family that had no experience with Scottish Terriers. His new home lasted less than 5 days before he was surrendered to us, when they found out what we tell families all of the time... Scotties don't automatically like every dog they meet. This is why we insist on meet and greets with your current pets, so we can be assured of a good match for the family and the dogs. Parker has a gorgeous black/gold brindle coat. He is friendly with all humans, rather active, may get along with other dogs his own size, however, he detests larger breed dogs. Because of this, Parker will do best as an only pet. We estimate Parker's age at 9 years. Come visit this handsome boy.  Please lets find him a good home!

No paw left behind our mission!

{Please keep in mind a dog is lifetime commitment. They need attention, love and time just like we do. In addition, adding a pet to the family does cost money in the way of food, health care, training,etc. So before adopting make sure you are willing to make that kind of commitment and have the resources to do so.}

  1. Hi. I hope these pups find a new home soon!
    I did make the bulletin board by using a plain cork board, covering it with batting and fabric. I used a staple gun, then added the ribbon and tacks. You can do it!

  3. One of my biggest wishes in life is that every sweet pup and kitty will be homed, loved and adored. They make the world a better place if you ask me.
