Oreo Pie

Oreo Cream Pie

1 package of golden double stuff oreo cookies
1/4 tbsp melted butter
1/2 8 oz cream cheese package, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 8 oz frozen whipped topping, thawed
Golden Double Stuff Oreos

1. Finely crush about 20 golden double stuff or party cake oreos. Once crushed mix with 4 Tbsp
    melted butter.  Since I don't have a food processor I roughly crushed oreos with hands then
    use the kitchen aid mixer to finely crush oreos and mix with butter.
2. Press the crushed oreo mixture into a pie plate. Let cool in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
3. Meanwhile in a medium mixing bowl combine cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and mix with electric
    mixer until well combined and smooth.
4. Add whipped topping and continue mixing until well combined and fluffy.  Spread into cool pie
    crust.
5. Top with pieces of crushed oreos. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serves 8.

Note:  To make a thicker crust I added more oreos to the crust, and doubled the cream filling
          ingredients. For a lighter cream filling suggest using less cream cheese and more whipped
          topping.
