Woof Wednesday

Welcome to Woof Wednesday. Please meet some great dogs from CA, GA, NY, PA and TX all in need of good, loving homes!

Marco is a West Highland Terrier who little is known about.  What they do know is this little guy needs a family.  Please lets find him a loving home!

Buddy is a beautiful Golden Retriever mix with blond and red fur. He weighs a very healthy and lean 60 pounds. Buddy is neutered and up to speed on all of his shots and vaccinations. He has not had health issues in the 18 months or so we have had him, and we were not made aware of any prior to that time. He eats dry food very well and is not a fussy eater. He does like to chew on rawhide bones and loves Milkbone dog biscuits. He sleeps very well in a crate (which we would provide) or does well out in the open. Buddy is very smart, and will sit, shake hands, and speak upon command. While playful, we have never experienced or seen any destructive tendencies towards furniture, clothes, etc. He is very protective of his family and surroundings, and makes a great watchdog. At times hesitant with new people, he quickly adapts and is very loyal and playful. He is great with other dogs of all sizes, and loves to run in the yard of the farm we occasionally send him to for exercise. Please lets find him a great home!

 Flying Asbury is a big, handsome Greyhound boy whom we have come to love.  He's a friendly boy who is calm and just a nice boy.  He had a broken leg in Florida which was treated there. Flying Asbury loves people and gives kisses.  He is not good with cats though.  He is 3 years old.  Please lets find him a good home!

Sandy is a gorgeous Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound mix.  She came to the rescue after her owners were no longer able to care for her.  Sandy is a sweet girl, who likes to run and play.  However, she can be very shy and nervous of new people at first.  She is seeking a patient, loving family who is willing to give her the time she needs to become comfortable.  However, once she knows you, she loves you and will come right out of her shell!  Once she’s comfortable, she is quite jumpy and active, and will need an energetic, obedience-minded adopter who can keep up with her energy.  She will also need a family that can teach her how to be comfortable around people when eating.  All she needs is a chance in the right home. Please lets find her a loving home!

Sassy is a tan terrier mix who was brought to Animal Control when her owner became ill.  She arrived at the shelter completely matted, with ingrown nails. However, after a very nice grooming she looks good as new.  Sassy is also blind and while she is a bit hesitant on walks, she finds her way around areas she is familiar with like a dog with eagle eyes.  She loves to cuddle and would be happy anywhere as long as she has a lap to sit in.  If you are looking for a lower energy dog to cuddle with in front of the TV.  Please lets find her a great home!

 Sully is a Scottish Terrier mix who was dumped in a Walmart parking lot and an employee watched as he waited by the door for someone to help him.  The employee took him home and cleaned him up and contacted us for help.  He had a few wounds but with some love and care from one of our fosters he is doing really well and is ready for his forever home.  We believe he is about a year and half old.  He gets along well with other dogs, adjusts to new surroundings pretty well and overall has a great personality.  He is not too needy or fearful of people.  He sleeps in his crate and night and while he is doing really well on his house training he is not quite 100% house trained yet but is getting close to it.  Please lets find him a good home!

No paw left behind our mission!

{Please keep in mind a dog is lifetime commitment. They need attention, love and time just like we do. In addition, adding a pet to the family does cost money in the way of food, health care, training,etc. So before adopting make sure you are willing to make that kind of commitment and have the resources to do so.}
