Stromboli

This is a delicious and simple stromboli recipe.  Each loaf produces about eight slices depending on how thick they are cut.  A variety of cheese could be used in this recipe, mozzarella is the standard but I prefer American sliced cheese. The meat could easily be substituted with vegetables.  Keep in mind that frozen pizza dough needs at least six hours to defrost.

Stromboli

2 loafs frozen bread dough, thawed
1/2 pound sliced turkey
1/2 pound sliced ham
1/2 pound American cheese or 2 cups shredded
1 cup marinara sauce

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Roll each loaf of dough into a rectangle about 8 inches by 12 inches.
3.. Layer turkey and hame down center of each rolled loaf lengthwise.
4. Top meats with cheese for each roll.
5. Fold short ends of each loaf in about 1/2 inch and seal.  Roll long sides and pinch well to seal the entire
    loaf.
6. Bake, seam side down on non stick aluminum foil or greased baking sheet for 20
    minutes or until golden brown.
7. Cut each roll into 8 slices and serve with marinara for dipping.
