Wyatt is an adorable westie with a little bit of something else mixed in.  When found as a stray in the south suburbs of Chicago he was filthy, covered in fleas, hair matted, toe nails curving they were so long.  He has adapted to the good life in his foster home very well, making himself right at home on his very own dog bed, running in the yard with his new foster brothers and enjoying a lap for some well-deserved loving.  The shelter that found him shaved much of his hair due to the flea infestation but his hair should grow back nice and soft.  He's been to the vet and after a spa treatment, a nail trim, etc, he's in great shape. We are not certain of his age but everyone believe he's between 3-5 years old. He really likes his new toys and wants to play with you a bit.  Wyatt doesn't appear to have any obedience training and would really benefit from some basic training.  He is quick to learn and now runs to his crate at meal time.  He has also learned that he's supposed to stop barking when his foster mom shakes a water bottle with a few coins in it.  Let's find this adorable guy the home he deserves!

Silver Spoon is such a beautiful little girl with the softest coat. She's a little unsure of herself and new things and would benefit from being with another greyhound to feel comfortable.  She's calm and enjoys being petted and we could tell that she wants to enjoy and relax. She's 2 years old and cat tolerant with supervision.  Let's find this sweetheart a great home!

Just look at this handsome boy. Tucker is blind and is an absolutely awesome dog. Sweet as pie loves everyone and always has a smile on his face. He is a very special boy. Despite the neglect and what ever this poor dog went through at human hands he is still loving and gentle and will make someone an awesome pet. We think he will do best with people that work from home and with another dog. We want to find him a home where he will be treated with tenderness and love. If you are looking for a big cuddle bunny this is your boy. We want him to see the other side of life, the good side, the side that shows him humans are wonderful and good parents. He surely has not given up that hope. If you want to adopt Tucker you will be getting a wonderful companion full of love and devotion.  Let's find this special dog a good home!

Cute and curly-haired, this delightful mature lady comes to rescue from a very special owner, who was just a fifth grader when she saw an ad in the paper: “3-year-old female Golden for sale.” She emptied out her piggybank & collected all her pocket money and bought Honey. That was nine years ago, and one look at this dog tells you how much she has been loved. She’s healthy, friendly, and self-confident. Sadly, family circumstances meant a move to a no-dogs-allowed apartment, and you can’t hide a Golden! …so the owner began hunting for a new family for Honey. She's wonderful and she just wants her settled in a home who will love her and give her lots of attention.

Honey Belle is just as sweet as they come, with lots of life and energy. For a 12 1/2-year-old, she has a ton of spunk! She has chased a tennis ball and can go for a 15-minute walk (she’s excellent on lead). She’s a real lady in the house and fit right in with the pack. She’s a great car rider and snoozed on the ride here. She takes treats with a very gentle mouth. She enjoys her meals of kibble mixed with veggies and fruit and cleans her plate. And needless to say, she is fully housebroken and completely trustworthy indoors.   Besides being fine with other dogs, she’s great with cats in her former home, two cats pawed at her, lay on her, taunted her & she took it all in stride. Now that’s a good dog.  Let's find her the special home she deserves!

Feel free to use social media to spread the word about these dogs. The more people hear about them the better chance they have of finding homes. Thanks. (or as the dogs would say woof, woof)

No paw left behind our mission!

{Please keep in mind a dog is lifetime commitment.  They need attention, love and time just like we do.  In addition, adding a pet to the family does cost money in the way of food, health care, training,etc. So before adopting make sure you are willing to make that kind of commitment and have the resources to do so.}

If you want to be a part of Woof Wednesdays email Ann MicheleLauren or leave a comment.  Or simply start posting about dogs in need of a home on your blog or facebook page!
