Woof Wednesday

Welcome to Woof Wednesday. Please meet some special dogs from CA, NJ, NY, PA and WI all in need of good, loving homes.

Please feel free to use social media to spread the word about these dogs. The more people hear about them the better chance they have of finding homes. Thanks. (or as the dogs would say woof, woof)
Friend is about 8 years of age with an extremely gentle and loving personality. He was given up by his owners who could not afford to care for him.   His owners had him de-barked and had neglected him until Save-a-Life intervened and took him in.  Friend has cataracts in his eyes, now but this does not stop him from playing, and giving his people his love.

 This lovely young lady is Charisse!  Charisse is a one year old Hound mixed breed who is a bit on the shy side.  Charisse is wishing for a family who understands that it takes her some time to warm up to strangers and a cozy home with lots of love would be perfect for her!  Charisse bonds quickly to any of our volunteers that walk her and she tries to stay right by your side.  The world can be a scary place for a homeless dog and Charisse will be counting on her new family to teach her how to appreciate life to its fullest.  For more informatiion about our darling Charisse, please call or E-mail our Center today.  Let's find this girl the home she deserves!

The blowing wind and rain scared me. I ran and got lost. The place where I ended up was not nice at all. I was even more scared there than of the wind and rain. But I was lucky. A lovely lady and her good husband came to pick me up. I was transported to a palace. I think I am Cinderella but they call me Dixie Eve. Things are looking up. I am tired but warm, well fed and settled. I would like to tell you more about my adventures, so why don't you call? Put in that application then we can talk. I am a wonderful little girl. I promise. Please call them so we can meet.

Meet Rina who is a 12 yr old shiba looking for a new forever home. Her previous owner is going into assisted living and was unable to take her. She is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves to give kisses. Her owner said that Rina is great with children. True to her shiba nature, she is an escape artist and one time when she was about 2 yrs old, she was hurt by another dog when she was exploring the neighborhood. The injury required stitches and she has a little muscle weakness in her rear legs but it hasn’t caused major problems throughout her life. Rina likes going out for walks, knows basic commands, and loves attention. If you're interested in adopting Rina, please complete an adoption application on our website.She’s a cute girl who is waiting for a new home, will it be yours?

My name is Faith, I am a tiny terrier mix who weighs about 4 pounds. I have had a really hard life and am hoping to find my forever home where I will be loved and pampered.I am staying in a foster home with two other dogs and we all get along great. Even doing well with potty training. My foster mom says I'm a good girl. I like to follow her around while she is doing things around the house and then we cuddle and watch tv. I like kids too.Please find me a good home as I would really like a family to call my own.

No paw left behind is our mission!

{Please keep in mind a dog is lifetime commitment.  They need attention, love and time just like we do.  In addition, adding a pet to the family does cost money in the way of food, health care, training,etc. So before adopting make sure you are willing to make that kind of commitment and have the resources to do so.}
