Woof Wednesday

Welcome to Woof Wednesday. Please meet some special dogs from CA, IN, NY, PA and TX all in need of good, loving homes.

Please feel free to use social media to spread the word about these dogs. The more people hear about them the better chance they have of finding homes. Thanks. (or as the dogs would say woof, woof)

Meet Hope a 2 year old, 10 lb. Chihuahua/Doxie girl that looks like a mini lab.  She is a recent momma whose pups were taken by another rescue but she was left behind.  Hope is very sweet and friendly, although a little shy at first. She gets along great with other dogs. Please put Hope in the subject of your email if your interested in this girl.  Let's find this beautiful girl a great home!

Bertie is a Wire Hair Fox Terrier/ Labrador Retriever who showed up at a nice ladies home who could not keep her but was worried about her so she brought her to OLBH.  What a sweet natured girl this one is.  Bertie is house trained, well on a leash, does well with children and other dogs too. Bertie tested positive for lyme disease and heart worm which the rescue has treated her for and now all she needs is a place to call home.  If you are looking for the most wonderful addition to your family Bertie is perfect for you!

Little Miss Sunshine will brighten your day from the minute you wake up with her cuddling up next to you. Parsonia is a very special girl. She is cute, ultra sweet, affectionate, smart, playful and adores both people and dogs. If your looking for an exercise partner or buddy for another playful dog she is perfect. She is five years old, a Parson Russell/Italian Greyhound mix. Is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped and does her business both on wee wee pads and outside.  This cutie has a strong prey drive so a home without cats would be ideal. Another dog however would be perfect since she loves to wrestle, chase and play with a canine buddy.  Please fill out an application http://zanisfurryfriends.org/applications.html and return to email listed below. She is willing and able to become your best friends. Let's find this  sunshine the great home she deserves!

Little Abby was born with severe birth defects to both back legs.  We have agreed that she deserved a chance to run and play like other puppies her age without pain or awkwardness   Surgery has been done and Abby has been hospitalized for almost 2 months now.  She has had one setback after another. Abby is doing much much better and is such a sweet wonderful little girl.  She loves everyone.  She takes very short walks and we are building her leg strength.  We are looking for a quiet home where she can have a fenced yard and go on walks and not have to do steps.  Lets find this sweet girl the special home she needs!

No paw left behind is our mission!

{Please keep in mind a dog is lifetime commitment.  They need attention, love and time just like we do.  In addition, adding a pet to the family does cost money in the way of food, health care, training,etc. So before adopting make sure you are willing to make that kind of commitment and have the resources to do so.}
