Thoughts

To be upset over what you don't have is to waste what you do have.

If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.

Many people felt disappointed over not being the lucky winner of the historic 550 million powerball.  Some dreams were dashed.  And after letting themselves conjure up big dreams others became even more fixated on what they don't have.

How many do that on a regular basis, become so fixated on what they feel they don't have and forgot to appreciate what they do have.  Money will never bring complete happiness, though it helps a lot it still has its limits as well.  In essence money cannot buy character, family, health, love, morals, virtue, world peace, honesty, kindness, compassion, or any of the things that really matter in life.

We can focus on all that we don't have, or we can focus on all that we have.  But if what they say is true, that what we focus on we attract more of, then isn't it better to focus on the positive.  And would it not make sense to focus on dreams and wishes, give them the positive energy to actually become real.

It would be great to win the lottery but just because we don't have that money doesn't mean people are not capable of making their dreams a reality.  We can complain about not having all we want but sometimes we also have to accept what we have been given and make something great out of it.  Have more dreams, make more wishes and do everything possible to make them real.  Just something to think about.

One is never given a wish without also being given the power to make it true, thought they may have to work for it.  And maybe give up the mindless wishing that things would be different. Rather than wasting time and emotional and spiritual energy in explaining why we don't have what we want, we can start to pursue other ways to get it.

Do not wish to be anything but what you are, and to be that perfectly.
