Woof Wednesday

Welcome to Woof Wednesday. Please meet some special dogs from CA, FL, NJ, NY and PA  all in need of good, loving homes.

Please feel free to use social media to spread the word about these dogs. The more people hear about them the better chance they have of finding homes. Thanks. (or as the dogs would say woof, woof)

Charlie is a sweet boy. He is a West Highland/Tibetan Terrier mix.  Very shy when he first meets you, but with some patience and lots of love he does come around. He is approx 4 years old. He gets along well with other dogs. He is quiet and laid back, and he does well indoor and outdoors. He even crates well. He just needs a patient family to give him time to adjust. He will make a wonderful companion. $78.00 fixed with shots and some goodies.  Please let's find this sweet dog the loving home he deserves.

Hello there, I'm Myles a Polish Lowland sheep dog. My sister Fanny and I came to the shelter because of a divorce.  I had never heard of the word before, but found out quickly that I don't like it.  This word made the life I use to have just disappear. My dad took us to Francisvale and he was so incredibly sad when he left.  I thought he was coming back, but my sister told me we were starting a new life without dad.  I was heartbroken.  I really hope that my sister and I can go to a new home with each other. I would hate to lose her along with the rest of my family. We are such a great team. We play and wrestle like we were puppies.  She pretty much is the leader and I follow her cue on just about everything. She's my best bud. I don't know what I would do without her. I'm a silly dog though I'm considered a senior at 8 years old, there is nothing elderly about me.  I will greet you enthusiastically when you come in the door. And if you have treats, oh boy I will not leave your side. We love to snuggle on the couch. If your lap is open, watch out!   They are a great duo.  You will have double the love and joy if you adopt both of them.

 Stanley is a Terrier of some sort.  He is really cute and could model for TV ads.  He is about 10 yrs. old, in good health for a fella of his age.  Weighs 26 pounds and am up to date on all vaccinations and had my teeth cleaned too.  Here is my story.  Marilyn my foster mom came up to the shelter to pick up my friend Ginger, a sweet Lhasa Apso mix girl.  Well, no one was interested in me.  Well, things were looking bad and my time was up.  I was a stray and someone called and said that I was their dog and that they would come and get me. A week went by and no one came.  I looked for them every day. I was so sad and then all of a sudden I was riding in the back seat of a Van and it was just beautiful to be able to look out the window.  I had a bath and felt so good.  I now have a soft bed and lots to eat and no more fleas.  Life is good.  I would love to have a new home.  I just need a place to spend my retirement years.  Maybe you could love me and take care of me for my golden years. I walk well on a leash and love car rides.  I sure hope someone gives me another chance.  Come on lets find this great guy the loving home he deserves!

No paw left behind is our mission!

{Please keep in mind a dog is lifetime commitment.  They need attention, love and time just like we do.  In addition, adding a pet to the family does cost money in the way of food, health care, training,etc. So before adopting make sure you are willing to make that kind of commitment and have the resources to do so.}
