Monday Musings

Is it really Monday.  After falling asleep early, I of course woke up at 4 this morning then spent the wee hours engrossed in a movie the man turned on. (a criminal drama that was probably a tad too violent for that hour of the morning)  A rather interesting way to start a day.  And blueberry pancakes were a much needed energy boost.

Nothing like the rather relaxing weekend that's for sure.  If only every weekend could be like this.

Pumpkin patches, beautiful Fall foliage, temperatures that felt more like Spring, delicious food, playing with the niece, time spent with family and snuggling with no distractions while watching football, even a home cooked meal by the man. Other than the beach, it may just be one of my favorite ways to spend a weekend.

Some how none of the men got in the photos.  Though I'm sure they don't mind as if it were up to them no cameras would be allowed on premise.
And though Fall isn't my favorite season as far as temperatures the beauty of it never goes unnoticed.
Plus with temperatures in the 70's it's much easier to appreciate the season.  And that is exactly what we did over the weekend.

Though I really need to get painting as with all the household stuff I have been trying to take care of lately I'm really falling behind in my art.  And this beautiful weather can be somewhat of a distraction as it leaves me wanting to sit on the porch to soak in the warmth of the sun.  But alas there is work to be done so before I get distracted I'm shutting off the gadgets and engaging in life!

The more one does and sees and feels, the more one is able to do, and the more genuine may be one's appreciation of fundamental things like home, and love, and understanding and living life.
