Woof Wednesday

Welcome to Woof Wednesday.  Please meet some very special dogs from FL, IL, NY and TX all in need of good, loving homes.

Please feel free to use social media to spread the word about these dogs. The more people hear about them the better chance they have of finding homes. Thanks! (or as the dogs would say woof,woof)

Shelby. 3 yr old female. Sheltie/Beagle mix. Was hit by a car and just left. Luckily she survived with only a broken pelvis. She is just about all healed up and now begins her search for a new home. Sweet, loving, gentle and follows you everywhere. Not a barker, but will tilt her head and talk to you. Great with all other animals, kids, and people. Perfect, calm, easy going lady in the house. Just a great dog. Shelby has healed from her injury, and does not require any followup. However she will never be able to compete in agility or any other overly active sport. She can run and play, and chases the squirrels out of the yard, but would do best as a lapdog or causal walking companion.

 Salty is a Westie, what looks like makeup on his eyes is really damaged skin from his previous life of neglect.  His owner had him from the time he was a pup but then lost her job and things started spiraling out of control.  They lost their home and had to go live with strangers. Those people didn't understand that little dogs can't life forever in a basement.
After living in the damp darkness for some time, he developed an infection in his eyes that caused the fur around them to fall out.  But that’s all in the past now. His owner found out about the Animal Support Project and she called them for help. They brought him to a nice foster home where we’re getting good food, grooming, veterinary care and lots of outdoor exercise. Now, with the infection gone, the fur is actually growing back around his eyes . Salty is frisky and friendly, and loves all sorts of dogs and people. Do you wish for a fluffy companion who really knows the value of friendship?  Salty is a great dog and just needs to find a loving home!

Baxter is a one year old Blue Heeler/Shepherd mix. He is neutered and housebroken. Baxter is the type of dog that is very playful. He loves squeak toys, he loves walks, and is also very good as a companion for car-rides! Baxter is inquisitive and young and sometimes this gets Baxter in to trouble. He would do excellent in an active home and one with some redirection, guidance and obedience training. We feel Baxter would excel since he is so eager to please and is a quick learner. Baxter would do okay in a home with a female dog but we feel a home with no male dogs would be best for him. Baxter is listed as urgent so lets find him a home!

No paw left behind is our mission!

{Please keep in mind a dog is a lifetime commitment. They need attention, love and time just like we do. In addition, adding a pet to the family does cost money in the way of food, health care,training,etc. So before adopting make sure you are willing to make that kind of commitment and have the resources to do so.}
