Woof Wednesday

 Welcome to Woof Wednesday.  Please meet some very special dogs from  NY, FL, TX and VA               all in need of good, loving homes!

Marco and his mother were rescued together and their story is all to common these days. They were previously owned by an elderly person who could no longer care for them physically or financially so he surrendered them to a local shelter. Marco had severe yet treatable skin allergies due to neglect. With proper nutrition, medications and loving his skin, ears and eyes have improved dramatically.  Marco is 7 years old.  He is very smart and loves to cuddle when given the chance. And when you are out and about and return home he is ecstatic to see you!  This beautiful Westie is starving for attention. He has been in a situation for so long where he lacked physical contact or human interaction. It's love he seeks and will return it ten-fold! Won't you give him the love and attention he has missed for so long?

Frosty and Snowman are 2 male Jack Russell terrier mix dogs that came from an Orlando pet hoarder. They were part of a massive rescue of 35 dogs. Underdog rescue of FL pledged for as many dogs as they were able while not knowing their medical condition. As it turned out, Frosty and Snowman had heartworms which needed to be treated along with being neutered. Today, after all treatments, Frosty and Snowman are healthy and happy, house-trained, leash-trained, crate-trained, and ready to be adopted.  Frosty is 7 years old, 24 pounds, and Snowman is 4 years old, 30 pounds. They love playing, attention, and love. They haven't had a life until now.  Please help them live a good life they deserve after all their neglect!

These adorable young puppies are Ara's pups! Ara is a sweet beagle mix girl, around 25lbs. She was rescued from the shelter along with her puppies. They are about 10 weeks old. They are ready to find their new families!  Of course Effie is a puppy so she will require more training and someone willing to make the commitment to her as well.  But how could anyone not want to give this sweet girl a loving, home.

 This is Henry and he has a personality that is so special. Sweet as can be, a cuddlier and an all around great companion. He was rescued from a local high kill shelter when his owners turned him in. They knew very little about him because they said he was neutered.  He is very social, loves to cuddle, is completely house trained at my house, uses a doggie door great, minds, is crate trained, altered, micro chipped, up to date on shot, heartworm negative abd on preventative. He does have an allergy to fleas. So flea prevention is a must. You have to watch his dog food because Westies tend to have food allergies. We have had him on no wheat, no corn and no by products, with no issues.

 Angus is an adult male that was found as a stray in Northern Virginia and released to WRI by a local animal shelter. Angus suffered from skin issues that required on-going treatment. He is now available for adoption and would do best in an adult home with another westie or canine companion. He is shy around new people until he feels comfortable. He is food motivated, so a pocket full of goodies will make him your new best friend. Angus is super friendly when meeting other dogs, rides well in the car and is housebroken. A secure fenced yard is required. If interested please complete an application to be considered for adoption of this Westie.  Lets find this little guy the loving home he deserves!

{Please keep in mind a dog is a lifetime commitment. They need attention, love and time just like we do. In addition, adding a pet to the family does cost money in the way of food, health care,training,etc. So before adopting make sure you are willing to make that kind of commitment and have the resources to do so.}

*If you want to be apart of "Woof Wednesdays" email Lauren at [] or leave a comment! We would Love to bring you on board!
