Woof Wednesday

 Welcome to Woof Wednesday.  Please meet some very special dogs from , IL, MN, TN and WI who are in need of good, loving homes!

Many of the dogs featured today were given up by families who could not longer afford them, or had time for them.  These stories always make me so sad as can you imagine being given up for those reasons by a family you had been with since birth?  So I really want to find these dogs great homes please help me by spreading the word to as many people as we can and especially in the areas listed today. Thank you so much for your help!

 Duster is a busy little boy. He loves attention and would love a playmate. Duster has lots of energy and likes to play play play. He also likes to play with other dogs and he's a tough little guy.

 Rookie & Tucker have been beloved family members for several years, but sadly, their mom and dad are planning a move and have a young child at home, as well. The elements all added up together simply doesn't make for the best environment for Rookie & Tucker, and their mom and dad want that for them. They have asked Westie Rescue to help find them a new home where they can stay together. These boys may be age 9 and 11, but they have been impeccably cared for, and in the "Westie World," those ages are considered mid-age. These boys would do well in a home with folks that are home a great deal of the day and can spend the time with them that they deserve.  Please lets try to find these boys the loving family they so deserve!

 Donald & Daisy are a darling, spunky 3 year-old pair of Westies that sadly found themselves without a home. Through no fault of their own, their family underwent a number of changes and could no longer care for them. They were thus surrendered to one of our volunteers in East TN. Completely healthy, vetted, housebroken and crate-trained, they are a precious pair that must stay together. These high-energy Westies are great with other dogs and also must go to a home with a traditionally-fenced backyard and someone who is home a great deal of the time for play and lots of attention . Whoever has the good fortune of adopting these sweeties will have double the fun and double the smiles that go along with them

 Max is Westie/Schnauzer mix who is 7 years old.  His previous family was unable to keep him (reason unknown). He was brought to the Martin County Humane Society and after spending some time on the adoption floor there, he made the trip up to the Twin Cities for more adoption opportunities! Max is very peppy and fun loving. He loves to meet new people and is friendly with everyone. He has a cute, silly disposition. Max loves to be where you are. He likes to play ball or with other stuffed toys. He loves snuggling next to you. He enjoys being outside and is very content to watch what is happening. If he has a ball he can chew on, he can entertain himself easily. The best thing about me, besides my wonderful personality is that I don't shed.

{Please keep in mind a dog is a lifetime commitment. They need attention, love and time just like we do. In addition, adding a pet to the family does cost money in the way of food, health care,training,etc. So before adopting make sure you are willing to make that kind of commitment and have the resources to do so.}
