"The universe is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper.

"Simply be who you are, do what you do best, be where you are called by joy, and let life work its magic on your behalf."

Sometimes the magic we are hoping and searching for is within us already.   Remember in The Wizard of Oz when Dorothy was trying to find her way home, and was told she always had the power.  But was told she would have never believed it so she had to discover and learn it for herself.
The same could be said of life as well.  Think about all the magical things that exist already, and so many more we still have yet to be aware of.

Though this is a trying time, especially economically for so many people in our country we cannot lose sight of the magic that also fills life.  And the power that resides in each of us.  Imagine what we could all do with that power if we worked together.

All too often our country seems to lose sight of what's really important.  We let our own people struggle when we could work together to find ways to help them.  We let out of touch, dishonest politicians rule our government. We put up for things instead of taking a stand.  We have let materialism, greed, dishonesty and selfishness be okay when it's not.  We are quick to judge others instead of trying to understand and show compassion.  That is the very stuff that robs our world of the magic.

Oh I know I'm missing quite a few things, and  could probably compile a long list but I don't want to focus on the negative, I simply want to try to focus on the positive and the magic that we are all capable of.  Those things in life that are less than magical can even be changed it just may not be easy, will take time, require a whole lot of courage and much more.

But magic is possible to those who act and believe it is.

This holiday season and all year round I hope our world can somehow find the magic that exists in life.  Find a way to work together to create good, to truly help those who need help, to heal those who need healing, to understand what really matters in life, and to simply bring more joy and happiness into a world that needs more magic!
