Monday Musings

Starting off this lovelyMonday with total brain fog.  Which I am solely blamely on this cold that has been lingering for over a week now, and the sleeplessness that resulted from it.  Haven't had a cold like this in quite sometime.

For the most part it seems to be clearing up except for my ears....which both still feel very blocked.  And this extreme tiredness I now feel.  Even though we tried to relax over the weekend, the tiredness is still lingering.

And on top of that I had two moles removed last week, which left much bigger scars and were more painful than expected.  I tried a new doctor who was down the street, as opposed to my old doctor who is a hour away.  Well I learned a valuable lesson, next time it's worth driving the hour to the doctor who I know is good because this doctor was extremely odd and very non professional.  (in fact I comtemplated leaving half way into the appointment)   But I figured I waited for months already so....

I'd like to start off this week by adding color to my hair.  Usually I only dabble in highlights or lowlights but since I'm on a tighter budget at the moment those are going to have to take a backseat for now.  Unless somones knows of a highlight/lowlight kit that is easy to use at home?

For the most part I have light brown/dark blonde hair.  It's that color where if I spend time in the sun I develop blonde highlights.   Recently, I found a couple of random grey strands in my bang/crown area....eek already!?  I need to find something to cover those up.  So I'm thinking a semi permanent product, one that will wash out over time instead of leaving tell tale roots.

And that's where I'm hoping I might get advice.  What is the best semi permanent haircoloring product?   How long do they really last?  And since I've never colored my hair at home before, what is the best and least messiest way to color hair at home?   (I have this image of dye dripping everywhere)   Any haircoloring or even highlighting tips would be greatly appreciated!
